How we work
Partnership
We facilitate support for young people by working closely with Leaving Care Teams and other agencies (for example, education providers, the Youth Offending Service, Police and drug services).
Support
We follow a model of persistent support - keeping young people engaged and in settled accommodation. We expect difficulties and challenging behaviour, so we’re set up to manage it, rather than simply excluding people from the project.
Our typical service to a client with high-level needs would include:
-
A daily visit to their home - perhaps in the evening or at weekends
-
Time for the young person at our local base (say, 2-3 hours each weekday)
-
Accompanying the client to appointments, training, court etc as required
-
A ‘24/7’ on-call service to the client and neighbours
-
Help with key life skills and activities (for example, shopping and cooking)
Key2 homes
We offer a mix of dispersed, self-contained flats and shared homes for a maximum of two people.
All Key2 homes provide high quality, fully-furnished accommodation, including white goods, television and fully inclusive utilities.
